Our Story
The success of 1865 Coffee is built upon the friendly greetings, enthusiasm and attitude of its baristas. Here at 1865 Coffee, we seek to serve quality-made coffee that not only tastes good but does good for our community. By serving you, it gives us an opportunity to serve others who are less fortunate or may find themselves in a time of transition to better themselves. We offer great tasting locally roasted coffee and tea from Passport Coffee Roasters out of Scottsdale. When you purchase coffee from us, you are not simply getting a quality cup of joe, but the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping make a difference in your community. Together, we are brewing change one cup at a time.

Pay-it-Forward Program
Through our Pay-it-Forward Program, you have the opportunity to join the mission and serve someone in need. Simply order an extra sleeve for just $1 and pin it to our bulletin board. Make a difference and help us to Do the Roast Good!

Community Engagement:

Open Mic Night
Open mic nights are currently hosted by independent groups. Come out to perform your poetry, music, stand-up, etc. Have stage fright? Stop by for some food and drinks and entertainment! Follow us on Facebook for the latest and greatest.

Worship night
Join us for monthly worship nights hosted by local churches. Our worship nights are broken up into sets, so you can come late, leave early, or stay for the entire evening. We love to engage and connect with new church communities, so let us know if your group is interested in leading. Make sure to keep an eye on our socials to stay updated. We can’t wait to worship with you!

Quo Vadis Book Nook
Our community library is generously provided by local bookstore, Quo Vadis. You can leaf through novels and resource books in our comfy reading corner. Can’t put it down? This is a “take-one-leave-one” library, so you are welcome to take it home with you! Just don’t forget to bring it back for someone else to enjoy or leave behind a different book that you’re ready to part with. You can visit Quo Vadis at 1020 S Mill Ave… maybe take a cold brew to them as a “thank you” for their donations!
